I Am Girl–Hear Me Roar!

A little girl named Riley had her moment to step up to the podium (or her dad’s video camera) and tell the world what she thinks about how companies try to “trick” girls into not being interested in the toys that they market to boys.  Great speech in a great venue, Riley!  She chose the all-pink aisle of the toy store to make her point.

We hope Riley’s message—stop forcing pink stuff on girls—goes record-breaking “viral” and that it will be applied to other commonly accepted gender stereotype formulas in addition to toy manufacturing, such as how academic interests are cultivated and the opportunities made available to women in certain industries.  And now, a message from Riley:
